In 2025, the entire country will celebrate the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War – an event of immense global significance. We pay tribute to the heroes of the war: the soldiers who defended the Homeland in battles on the front and the people in civilian professions who worked day and night in the rear to bring the great day - Victory Day - closer.

The exhibition in the Moscow Kremlin Museums is part of the programme of official events of the Russian-Chinese Intercultural Year 2024-2025, announced at the level of the governments of both countries. The collections of the National Museum of China, one of the largest and most visited museums in the world, will be presented for the first time in the Moscow Kremlin.

The exhibition in the Moscow Kremlin Museums, dedicated to the 270th anniversary of Moscow State University, tells about the early period of its history – from its foundation by Empress Elizaveta Petrovna till the end of the reign of Alexander I, who granted it with the first Statute in 1804 and assigned its privileges with the Confirmatory Charter.

The Moscow Kremlin Museums present another grandiose project related to the heirs of Peter the Great and those involved in the palace coups. The exhibition covers the period from 1725, when Empress Catherine I ascended the throne after the death of her husband, to March 1801, when Emperor Pavel I was assassinated in the Mikhailovsky Palace.
